 Venue Overview: 

  • Circuit of the Americas (COTA) is the premier destination for world-class motorsports and entertainment in the United States. Set on 1,500 acres in the rolling hills just outside downtown Austin, Circuit of the Americas has hosted the biggest names in racing, action sports, and music since 2012.  It is the home of the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix, the ESPN Summer X Games, as well as The Moto GP Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas.  At its heart is a 3.41 mile racetrack that was designed to challenge the world's most exacting competitors, and a 14,000 seat Amphitheatre which hosts the hottest musical acts thrilling audiences throughout the year. 


Job Description

The Event Concierge staff is primarily responsible for effectively assisting the COTA Guest Services team in the execution of our events, creating a positive work environment and providing exemplary customer service to all guests including our premium members. The Event Concierge Staff should be professional; team focused, and has a positive attitude. The Event Concierge staff will work under the guidance of the COTA Guest Services team.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist in the execution of the overall guest experience
  • Coordinate and help manage premium hospitality areas including but not limited to; races, track rentals, concerts/entertainment, conferences, banquets, facility rentals, etc.
  • Assist with editing and preparing of training information for staff and vendors
  • Assist current members and new guests with customer service related inquiries
  • Help create and execute appreciation events at the Circuit of The Americas for volunteer staff, premium members, etc.
  • Perform facility and premium hospitality area walk-throughs and effectively communicate to appropriate departments
  • Assist with volunteer program including recruitment
  • Communicate effectively with vendors to ensure quality products and competitive pricing
  • Additional office management including purchase requests, inventory, and training
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests' service needs, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, and support team to reach common goals.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned


Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively at all levels both internally and externally
  • Expert with Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Able to simultaneously manage a high level of detail across multiple projects
  • Able to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Able to work well within a team environment
  • Able to work Mon-Fri 8:30-5:30pm if needed, but also maintain a flexible work schedule in order to deal effectively with special event responsibilities




  • 2 years' service experience (sports industry preferred)
  • Must be able to work nights/weekends per event schedule
  • Ability to work in stressful situations and remain focused
  • Ability to take direction and 'roll with the punches', patient demeanor


Physical Demands: 

  • Ability to stand, sit, use of hands to handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms
  • Ability to lift and/ or move up to 15 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision
  • Must be able to endure seasonal temperatures as working conditions require some outdoor work


Work Environment:

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud during events
