This position will help deliver a consistent & exceptional guest service experience, by assisting in the planning and execution of security and guest services, day to day security supervision plus event staffing and logistics.  Events include, but are not limited to, motorsports races, festivals, concerts, and private events.  This non-exempt position reports to the Director of Guest Operations.

Essential Functions:

         Work in conjunction with staffing vendors and CoTA staff to create & execute staffing needs related to the overall guest experience for all events

         The point of contact and supervisor of 24/7 security contractor. Assist in training and monitoring security duties and reports

         Create event staffing and security staff templates for motorsport events providing excellent coverage while maintaining budget parameters

         Assist with event staff orientation and training for major events

         Monitor activities of security and guest services vendors' staff during events to ensure all guests receive the best possible assistance

         Serve as an ambassador for the company to enhance and promote service standards leading up to and during events

         Tracking of ticket sales to assist with concert/event planning

         Assist with purchase requisition forms (PRF), acquiring PO#s, tracking invoices, and keeping organized records of actual event costs

         Assist with implementation of COTA Command Center operations

         Maintain regular, consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, and personal appearance and hygiene

         Assist with responding to guests' needs and outreach programs via phone, email and personal communication for all events.

         Responsibilities to include the staffing, managing and executing events working in conjunction with contracted providers.

  • Performs all other duties as assigned

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent written, verbal, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Must have a thorough understanding of facilities' amenities, events, and programs
  • Proficiency in MS Office with web-based resources and internet research a plus
  • Confidence when working with both internal and external contacts
  • Polished and articulate with strong interpersonal skills
  • Must possess quality teamwork attitude
  • Must possess great attention to detail & strong work ethic    

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • At least 2 years of experience in hospitality and/or entertainment industry, operations and service management
  • Large event experience preferred
  • Security or military experience preferred
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed

 

Physical Demands: 

  • Must be in good physical condition, able to walk, stand, and sit for long periods of time
  • Ability to handle, feel, or reach with hands and arms
  • Ability to talk, hear, bend, and twist neck
  • Ability to lift and/ or move up to 25 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, however, during events, it will be loud
