BACKGROUND, CIRCUIT OF THE AMERICAS

Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas, is the only purpose-built Grand Prix facility in the United States designed for all classes of racing. The 3.4-mile racetrack hosts the world's most prestigious sporting events, including Formula 1, MotoGP Red Bull Grand Prix of The Americas, holiday festivals, professional and amateur sporting events as well as opportunities for track rentals. The 1,500-acre campus is also home to the Austin360 Amphitheater ' PollStar's 2013 "Best New Major Concert Venue" and a 2014 "Best Major Outdoor Concert Venue" Pollstar nominee ' impressive meeting and hospitality spaces and an iconic 25-story observation tower that offers 360-degree views of the circuit, amphitheater and downtown Austin.

 

SUMMARY

The Senior Account Executive is responsible for generating new business revenue with local, regional and national companies through the integrated packaging of COTA assets in the areas of activation, rights, media, promotions, tickets and hospitality. Also responsible for development of new revenue opportunities and mutually beneficial market activation programs.

 

POSITION SUMMARY

  1. Sell annual event and program sponsorships, advertising and hospitality assets
    1. Familiarity with Austin/Central Texas market preferred
  2. Collaborate with team to create sales inventory, develop revenue projections and overall sponsorship strategy for assigned events, programs and opportunities
  3. Research, prospect and establish leads for corporate relationships
  4. Manage the sales process from start to finish (create proposals and draft/negotiate contracts)
  5. Prepare weekly sales reports for activates
  6. Work event days and special events to entertain existing partners and prospects
  7. Work alongside activation and service team to delegate account fulfillment
  8. Work closely with other departments within the organization on corporate partner related programs
  9. Support other departments and ensure company vision and objectives are met

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Bachelor's Degree
  2. Minimum 5-7 years sponsorship and/or partnership sales experience. Media sales experience a plus.
  3. Self-motivated team player with a proven ability to work with aggressive individual and team sales goals.
  4. Superior knowledge regarding the practices and principles related to the sale and implementation of corporate partnership.
  5. Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with corporate clients and co-workers.
  6. Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
  7. Solutions oriented problem solving mentality a must.
  8. Must be creative, detail oriented and possess a strong work ethic.
  9. Possess superior negotiation skills coupled with a net profit bottom line mentality
  10. Proven ability to create and sell events and related inventory
  11. Proficient in Word, Excel,PowerPoint and CRM.
