Essential Functions:

  • Ensure the proper functioning of all electrical units in the facility
  • Ensure schedule checks for possible malfunctions
  • Maintain records of all electrical inventories and placing orders for spare parts and equipment
  • Maintain a log of all electrical repair and maintenance works
  • Locate source of problems and provide repairs as required
  • Develop maintenance schedules and prepare maintenance reports
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment
  • Assist with general facility duties as required including Staging of equipment for events including but not limited to: signage, fencing, lighting, generators, furniture, sound equipment, etc.
  • Set up of temporary electrical requirements as necessary
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
  • Other duties as assigned



  • High School diploma and/or Technical School education
  • 3rd year Apprentice
  • Must be able to pass regulatory requirements for operation of heavy equipment


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Use advanced trades mathematics together with complicated drawings and specifications involving thorough technical skill knowledge and application of basic theory
  • Considerable judgment required to plan and perform unusual and difficult work where only general methods are available
  • Able to make decisions involving considerable initiative and ingenuity
  • Ability to deal with uncertainty
  • Must have excellent technical understanding


Physical Demands:

  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
  • The employee occasionally sits
  • The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finder, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel or crouch
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include depth perception


Work Environment:

  • Regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil fumes and noise
  • Exposed to a combination of normal office type environments and shop environments
  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, wed or humid conditions, outdoor weather conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
