The Event Production Manager is responsible for working directly with COTA personnel, all Motorsport sanctioning and governing bodies and USL league & team personnel. The position will manage the planning and execution of all Motorsport races & Austin Bold home games which includes broadcast production, fan events and pre-event promotions. This position requires flexibility, a teamwork attitude and exceptional organizational skills. Directly reports to the Sr. Manager, Event Production

Essential Functions:

  • Work alongside all broadcast production groups, sanctioning bodies and league officials to create a fun and exciting show and overall event for our in-house fans as well as our TV viewership.
  • Research & hire race and game day talent and vendors prior to each event, keeping in mind the event theme, goals and budget
  • Liaison and coordinate with all race and game day talent, as well as COTA personnel, during each event to arrange transportation and parking, travel and lodging, credentials, meals and volunteer assignments
  • Manage & execute aspects of the supporting events during Motorsport races and Austin Bold soccer games. Including, but not limited to: trophy presentation ceremonies, on-track and on-field entertainment, fulfillment of miscellaneous sponsorship activation and marketing event deliverables
  • Manage the Marketing Volunteer program for each Motorsport race. This includes but is not limited to: improving overall experience, scheduling, assignment of individual responsibilities and vehicles and on-site direction and management
  • Clerical and administrative tasks as necessary, including invoicing, purchasing and budgeting
  • Work with internal department heads (Marketing, Sponsorship, IT/AV, Sales, etc) so as to ensure seamless implementation of each event
  • Schedule event load-in and arrivals, set-up and load-out of all external vendors
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Visio and Gather
  • Ability to make timely and sound policy decisions under pressure
  • Polished and articulate with strong interpersonal skills
  • Must possess great attention to detail
  • Ability to problem solve and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong working knowledge of policies, procedures and practices used in the event industry

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Sport Management, Facility Operations or Marketing
  • Available to work nights and weekends as needed
